About
Tariq is a Paralegal in the Firm's Bahrain office where he is a member of the Construction, Real Estate and Engineering and Projects team.
He supports in local and cross-border construction matters (contentious and non-contentious) involving arbitration, preparation of standard form building contracts and claims in relation to delays, variations, termination. Tariq has worked with employers, developers, consultants, contractors and subcontractors.
Additionally, Tariq assists in high value transactional work in the commercial real estate sector. The type of work ranges from hotel and hospitality matters, including the development and management of hotels and branded residences, to project community developments.
Experience
- Assisting in preparing an amended FIDIC Green Book (template) contract to accommodate contract values up to BHD1m.
- Assisting in drafting subcontractor / supply chain novation agreements in relation to a commercial tower project in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
- Acting as Tribunal Secretary in a GCCCAC arbitration relation to a construction dispute in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
- Assisting in reviewing a suite of hospitality agreements for a proposed branded hotel apartments in Dubai.
- Assisting in preparing key project documents including residential off-plan sale agreements, disclosure statements and a development agreement pertaining to a mixed-use master community development.
