Peter has almost 20 years’ experience advising clients across the energy, projects, construction and financial services sectors. He regularly advises clients on international arbitrations, including SIAC, ICC and UNCITRAL. This includes contentious disputes with up to billions of dollars at stake, and those relating to energy transition and significant projects and infrastructure.
Peter also advises clients with respect to the full range of investigations, including cross-border, internal and those relating to external authorities. He has investigations’ expertise across a broad range of topics, including anti-bribery/corruption, incident response, cybersecurity, fraud, anti-trust and environmental.
Peter's experience includes a two-and-a-half year secondment at one of the world’s largest energy companies where he managed disputes and investigations across Asia, Europe, Middle East and Africa. Peter has a detailed and pragmatic perspective of the regulatory environment across Asia Pacific, and applies that to his understanding of clients’ commercial operations and business drivers.
Peter is admitted to practise in Australia and is a Registered Foreign Lawyer in Singapore.

- Acting for a global energy company in an international arbitration on a multi-billion dollar dispute relating to decommissioning obligations and liability in Asia.
- Acting for a global chemicals company in an international arbitration on a multi-million dollar construction dispute in the Middle East.
- Acting for another global chemicals company in an international arbitration relating to the construction of an ammonia plant in Australia.
- Acting for a global engineering company on anti-bribery/corruption investigation arising from multiple engineering projects across South East Asia. This included self-reporting to national, regional and global regulatory and enforcement authorities, and negotiating a successful resolution.
- Acting for a global energy company on a tax-related criminal investigation targeting senior officers and relating to its most significant global projects.
- Acting for a global financial services company in one of the most significant financial collapses in history, including managing the book of contentious and litigious bankruptcy-related matters across Australia and Asia, and appearing in the High Court of Australia.
