Lauren’s practice includes all aspects of residential property disputes with particular expertise in leasehold enfranchisement, acting for one of the largest London estates as well as other landlords and leaseholders. Lauren also advises landlords and management companies in relation to service charges disputes, breaches of the lease and other management issues.
Lauren also has extensive commercial experience in opposed and unopposed lease renewals under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, dilapidations and other issues arising from disrepair, forfeiture and break notices.
Lauren is co-lead of the Essential Residential hub, offering expert insight and advice into residential property matters. Lauren write regularly for the legal press, including the Estates Gazette and the Property Law Journal. She is ranked as a “Recommended Lawyer” in the Legal 500.
Lauren is admitted to practise in England and Wales.
Experience
- Acting for a major London Estate in connection with a multi-million pound claim under the Leasehold Reform, Housing and Urban Development Act 1967
- Acting for a major London landlord in an opposed lease renewal under section 30(1)(f) and (g) of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 which was resolved on favourable terms after a mediation
- Advising one of the largest privately held pub operators in the UK in connection with the property management of their portfolio of over 4000 sites
