Jihane is based in our Qatar office and specialises in providing strategic, high-impact legal and regulatory advice. Her comprehensive experience and extensive regional knowledge enable her to adeptly manage intricate legal matters, providing customised solutions in both domestic and international contexts.
Jihane received her LLB from the University of Saint Joseph in Lebanon and her master’s degree from the Lebanese University. She is also a member of the Beirut Bar Association.
She is fluent in English, Arabic and French.
Experience
- Advised an entity wholly owned by the Government of Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Labour, on its transformation to implement government-approved initiatives. This included the current assessment of legislation in force, gap analysis, and advising on necessary changes (new legislation, contracts, etc.)
- Assisted QNB Capital with establishing a joint venture, Oryx Corniche Development, and facilitated their entry into a hotel management agreement with Soho House for two properties under The Ned brand.
- Advised a prominent Qatari company on the creation of a real estate investment trust (REIT) in accordance with the QFC Regulations.
- Assisted a GCC tax authority with the establishment of a tax research centre, delivered a comprehensive legal benchmarking report, conducted workshops, and developed agreements, policies, and procedures.
