About

Charlotte is a specialist construction disputes lawyer, with experience across all stages of the project life cycle. Charlotte is experienced in all forms of construction dispute resolution, having represented clients in negotiation, mediation, adjudication, arbitration, and court proceedings. Acting for the full suite of construction clients, Charlotte has advised government entities, principals/employers, contractors and consultants on large-scale construction and infrastructure projects, including across the energy, transport, water, prison and education sectors.

Charlotte is admitted to practise in New Zealand.

Experience

  • Acting for a commercial property owner in New Zealand High Court proceedings involving claims against a product manufacturer for alleged defective cladding products used across multiple retirement villages;
  • Acting for a principal (partially state-owned) energy generator in relation to one of New Zealand’s largest onshore wind farm projects;
  • Acting for a consultant (a multi-national Fortune 500 engineering firm) in a complex claim brought by a prominent New Zealand construction company, in relation to the design and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure;
  • Acting for a large contractor, as part of a joint venture, in its delivery of New Zealand's first large dam to be built in over 25 years;
  • Acting for a New Zealand Government organisation in relation to two anchor projects providing project delivery, contractual claim, and dispute resolution advice, and representation in related adjudications and arbitrations.
