Joe Cohen features in The Lawyer’s ‘Hot 100’ list for 2024-25
Joe Cohen, Director of Advanced Client Solutions, has been included in the latest edition of The Lawyer’s ‘Hot 100’.
Put together by one of the UK’s leading legal magazines, the list celebrates trailblazers from across the legal profession – whether private practice, in-house or the Bar.
On its website, The Lawyer explains: “Every year, [the] Hot 100 covers an incredibly diverse mix of legal professionals: scrappers from the rough and tumble of criminal law; sophisticated corporate dealmakers; intellectuals and silver-tongued advocates from barristers’ profession; the in-house counsel with the ear of their CEOs; associates rising to greatness; and even the occasional professional with no legal qualifications at all who is nevertheless showing the industry how to better itself. But whatever world they come from, they are all doing amazing work.”
Joe Cohen joined the Firm in December 2023, spearheading our innovation initiatives and driving forward-thinking strategies to enhance client service and streamline internal operations. This includes the implementation and utilisation of emerging technologies such as generative AI.
In its profile of Joe, The Lawyer says:
If you need someone to build out your innovation function at rocket speed, Joe Cohen is the person to call. Brought in by Charles Russell Speechlys just over a year ago, he has built the firm’s innovation team from scratch. Now comprising 19 people, Cohen has been expanding its reach across the firm with the help of an army of 16 internally built chatbots.
"From launching RussellUp — the firm’s project for trainees that involves them all in innovation — to spearheading the adoption of Sidekick, the firm’s generative AI platform, he has done a huge amount in a short amount of time.
"Next on the list is launching the firm’s first revenue-generating software product, which has a full-time team of developers getting it ready for take-off. Cohen is also looking at how artificial intelligence can be used for pro bono work to give the justice system better support.
