Charles Russell Speechlys has advised Countryside Partnerships on its joint venture with Abri to deliver 1,500 homes at the Ford Airfield Site in Arundel, West Sussex.

The site was sold to Countryside Partnerships and Abri who will jointly deliver an equal split of market sale and affordable housing on the site as well as developing wider community infrastructure including commercial and retail space, a primary school, and a care home.

Marc Thompson, Regeneration and Growth Director, Vistry Group commented:

We are grateful to have been able to draw on the combined expertise of Charles Russell Speechlys’ first-class Corporate, Real Estate and Construction teams to reach this exciting milestone. This project, in support of our strategy, will deliver a significant number of mixed-tenure homes alongside our long-term partner Abri.

Sarah Wigington, Corporate Partner, commented:

We were delighted to advise Countryside on this transformative venture which will have a significant impact on the West Sussex landscape. Providing affordable and private housing remains one of our most significant societal challenges and it is a pleasure to be able to support Countryside and Abri as they jointly deliver this impressive scheme.

The team was led by Corporate Partner Sarah Wigington, with support from Associate Grace Hudson, and Apprentice Ariella Tanfield. The wider team included Partner Suzi Gatward, Associate Celine Boys (Real Estate), Partner James Worthington, Associate Victoria Redman (Construction) and Senior Associate Edith Lai (Banking).
