Charles Russell Speechlys advises Puma Private Equity on its investment into Transreport

Charles Russell Speechlys has advised long-standing client Puma Private Equity on an £10m investment round into Transreport, the UK’s fastest-growing accessibility technology company.

This investment, with participation from Pembroke VCT, will enable Transreport to expand its Passenger Assistance technology to anyone who needs assistance whilst travelling, facilitating quicker and easier use of public transport and also will enable the company to continue its expansion into the aviation sector.

Puma Private Equity offers growth capital and expertise to best-in-class, ambitious businesses across the UK, irrespective of sector, and works in partnership with management to help businesses scale and create long-term value. It aims to deliver insight, expertise and a fresh perspective to the portfolio companies it partners with. Having invested in, and worked with, a breadth of companies in a range of sectors from consumer e-commerce to fleet transport safety and influencer marketing, Puma Private Equity has deep insights and experience in scaling businesses for growth and where desired, successful sale and exit.

Mark Lyons, Investment Director, Puma Private Equity, commented:

“Thank you to David, Ashwin and Ayman for their support on this significant investment round. Their advice, as usual, was essential to its completion and we are looking forward to working with them in 2024.”

David Coates, Corporate Partner, commented:

“It was a pleasure to work with Mark and the team at Puma Private Equity again and we look forward to seeing how this funding round helps drive accessibility in the transport sector.”

The team was led by Corporate Partner David Coates and Senior Associate Ashwin Pillay with support from Ayman Shehata along with a wider team at Charles Russell Speechlys.
