Charles Russell Speechlys broadens Commercial Real Estate capabilities with the appointment of Real Estate specialist Emma Carter

Charles Russell Speechlys today announces the hire of Emma Carter as a Partner within the Firm’s Real Estate team. Emma joins Charles Russell Speechlys’ London Office from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, and her arrival will complement and strengthen the Firm’s investor and occupier commercial real estate offering.

Emma has over 15 years’ experience advising investors, developers, and banks on all aspects of commercial property. She is the lead advisor for numerous headline clients on high-profile and complex transactions and has wide ranging experience guiding clients through the commercial property investment lifecycle, from acquisition and management through to disposal. Emma also manages joint venture investments and financings across the office, retail, and alternative parts of the real estate market. 

Emma has a multi-faceted understanding of the real estate industry; throughout her career she has taken on various client secondments and in-house roles which have broadened her specialist knowledge and network. She brings with her a considerable client relationship base, earned through a catalogue of high-profile transaction work at the very highest level.

Emma’s appointment follows the recent appointment of Litigation and Dispute Resolution Partner, Stephen Chan, in Hong Kong; Commercial Partner, Rebecca Steer, in the United Kingdom and Tax Partner, David Cordova Flores, in Luxembourg.
