Charles Russell Speechlys advises Zenzero’s management team on its majority acquisition by Macquarie Capital

Charles Russell Speechlys has advised the management team of high-growth client Zenzero on its majority acquisition by Macquarie Capital Principal Finance.

Zenzero is a platform which combines next generation IT managed service providers, with leading technology capabilities, serving as a one-stop-shop for customers. The company provides future-ready managed IT, cyber, data and digital services, enabling a broader and more differentiated offering to SME and mid-market customers.

Macquarie Capital Principal Finance, the financing and principal investing arm of Macquarie Capital, makes investments from Macquarie’s balance sheet, provides flexible primary financing and secondary market investing solutions for corporate and commercial real estate clients across North America, Europe and Australasia.

The financial terms of the transaction remain undisclosed.

Michael Bateman, Zenzero CEO, said:

“We are excited to embark on our new partnership with Macquarie. It provides us with the firepower we need to deliver ambitious investment in our growth, people, and further acquisitions. Having worked with Mark and the CRS team across two businesses and multiple Zenzero bolt-ons, it was a pleasure having the team support Zenzero and management during the transaction. Mark and team, who have a great deal of experience in Technology M&A and private equity transactions, played a key role in ensuring the process happened swiftly and with a successful outcome for all involved.”

Mark Howard, Corporate Partner, commented:

“As always, it was a pleasure working with Michael and the Zenzero team and we are delighted to have been able to support them on this seminal transaction. We look forward to supporting them on the next step of their journey in their new partnership with Macquarie.”

The team was led by Corporate Technology Partner Mark Howard and Corporate Associates Ashwin Pillay, James Scott and Nia John, supported by Tax Partner, Rob Birchall and Tax Associate, Lewis Currie.
