Charles Russell Speechlys strengthens its Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice with the arrival of Simon Le Wita

Charles Russell Speechlys today announces the appointment of Simon Le Wita as a Partner within the Firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution department. Simon joins the Firm’s Paris office from French firm, De Pardieu Brocas Maffei.

Simon has extensive experience in domestic and international commercial, banking, and financial litigation and ably advises clients on shareholder and post-acquisition disputes, as well as contract and tort litigation. Simon is similarly well versed in debt restructuring, insolvency, and bankruptcy matters. He advises French and foreign companies in all industry sectors, from credit institutions and investment funds to insurers, real estate companies, and suppliers.

Much of Simon’s work has an international framework and he is renowned for his strong appreciation of the wider legal and cultural background in which foreign lawyers and their clients operate. Simon has developed a strong international litigation practice and is regularly involved in enforcement and asset recovery cases as well as risk management. He has also developed extensive experience in alternative dispute resolution including arbitration and dispute prevention.

Frédéric Jeannin, Managing Partner of Charles Russell Speechlys Paris says:

"Simon's arrival is in line with the Firm's strategy of developing our Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice and expanding our offering in France and internationally. We attach the utmost importance to offering a high value-added service to our clients and Simon’s experience and technical expertise complements our existing offering. Simon shares our vision and ambition to build an integrated international team capable of resolving the most complex disputes in the main dispute resolution hub".

Simon Le Wita, Partner, adds:

"I am very pleased to be joining Charles Russell Speechlys and I look forward to contributing to the development of the Firm’s well-established Litigation practice and rapidly growing international network. Alongside the team, I am excited to service the specific needs of our various clients in an increasingly sophisticated, international and demanding market."

Simon’s appointment closely follows the arrival of Francis Ho who joined as a Partner within the Firm’s Construction and Infrastructure group last month.
