Charles Russell Speechlys welcomes Dispute Resolution Partner Simon Hofstetter in Switzerland

Charles Russell Speechlys today announces the lateral hire of Simon Hofstetter as a Dispute Resolution Partner within the Firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution team in Switzerland. Simon is a Swiss qualified lawyer and has extensive experience in domestic and international commercial litigation, asset recovery and bankruptcy proceedings as well as Swiss corporate law.

Simon represents clients before courts and authorities of both German and Italian-speaking parts of Switzerland and has extensive experience in the legal environment of both regions. He also regularly assists companies and acts as an external legal counsel on corporate law matters, including white collar crime, M&A, changes in equities, corporate housekeeping, shareholders matters and corporate governance.

As a significant adviser to the international wealth management and financial services communities, we offer a unique dimension to clients and intermediaries. We are one of the few law firms able to provide integrated tax, regulatory, funds, dispute resolution and commercial advice with a full private client offering across Europe's leading wealth centres - London, Luxembourg, Paris, and Switzerland, as well as in the Middle East and Hong Kong.

Michael Wells-Greco, Head of the Swiss offices’ comments: “We are thrilled to welcome Simon to the Zurich office. The Firm’s continued investment and expansion in this market mean we can offer clients greater service they require in whichever region they operate - he will be an invaluable asset to the Firm’s growing European team.”

Simon Hofstetter adds: “I am excited about joining an international top-tier firm such as Charles Russell Speechlys, renowned for assisting wealthy individuals and family offices structuring and protecting their wealth. I am looking forward to further developing and strengthening its international practice in Zurich, advising our Swiss and international clientele, particularly in commercial law and dispute resolution.”

Simon’s arrival closely follows the appointment of Partner Nicola Saccardo, an Italian tax specialist with over 20 years’ experience, within the Firm’s Private Client team in London.
