Charles Russell Speechlys welcomes Partner Nicola Saccardo to the Firm’s London office

Charles Russell Speechlys today announces the lateral hire of Nicola Saccardo as a Partner within the Firm’s Private Client team in London. Nicola joins the Firm from the London office of Maisto, one of the most prominent Italian law firms for tax work.

Nicola is an Italian tax specialist with over 20 years’ experience, advising clients on cross-border tax and estate planning matters. Much of his work is centred around the relocation of HNW individuals to Italy and the taxation of trusts.

Nicola is renowned for his understanding of international and EU tax law and his ability to seamlessly navigate the associated tax and regulatory frameworks. His expertise in Italian tax law will be instrumental in driving forward the Firm’s international reach.

Nicola is Chair of the Tax Committee of the International Academy of Estate and Trust Law, a Member of the International Estate Planning Committee of ACTEC and Chair of the International Client Special Interest Group of STEP.

Simon Ridpath, Managing Partner, Charles Russell Speechlys, comments:

Nicola has a stellar market reputation, and we are very excited to welcome him to the Firm. The addition of an Italian tax offering will significantly bolster our portfolio of tax services as we continue to expand our international private capital focus and support high net worth global families looking to relocate to Italy with ease and confidence.”

Nicola Saccardo said:

“I am delighted to be joining Charles Russell Speechlys. The Firm has an outstanding reputation and is a natural fit for me, as I have known the team for some time now. I very much look forward to being a part of the Firm’s approach to the delivery of international private client tax services.”

Nicola’s arrival closely follows the appointment of Robert Reymond and his international tax team, and Jeremy Arnold as Tax Trusts and Succession Senior Counsel in the UK.
