Charles Russell Speechlys welcomes new Family team in Hong Kong

Charles Russell Speechlys is delighted to welcome a new Family team in Hong Kong, including the hire of Lisa Wong as Partner, as it continues to strengthen its offering in the region.

Lisa is an experienced family lawyer and accredited mediator, covering all aspects of matrimonial law, including divorce and separation, childcare and custody matters, financial applications, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, injunctions, relocation, and removal applications, wardship, and applications in relation to child abduction under the Hague Convention. Lisa advises on matters in relation to surrogacy and parental orders, jurisdictional disputes, as well as same-sex relationship disputes.

Simon Green, International Partner, Charles Russell Speechlys, said:

"We are delighted that Lisa has chosen to join our Hong Kong office at this exciting time in our growth trajectory. Together with her team, she will add another string to our private wealth bow in the region and provide first-class family law advice to the leading creators and owners of private wealth and their families in the region.

"Lisa’s arrival further supports the firm’s offering to the holders of private capital in key markets and continues to strengthen our transactional, advisory, and contentious services we offer internationally."

Lisa Wong, commented:

"Charles Russell Speechlys boasts an excellent reputation internationally for its private wealth work, and I am thrilled to be joining the Firm at this exciting time of international growth. I look forward to working with my team and across our international offices as we look to establish a reputation as the go-to firm for family matters in Hong Kong."

Lisa will work with Katherine Ng (Associate), who joined the Firm in November 2021 and joins the Firm on 10 January 2022.

The arrival of the Family team in Hong Kong signifies another boost for Charles Russell Speechlys’ international expansion, following the steady growth in headcount with the recent hire of a Private Wealth and Commercial Real Estate team, led by Silvia On and Ian Devereux, and moving to new and larger office space in a prestigious part of Hong Kong. The Firm also recently welcomed David Collins as the new Divisional Managing Partner for Business Advisory & Transaction Services and Madalina-Andreea Dumitrescu as a new Disputes Partner in London.
