Charles Russell Speechlys advises Puma Private Equity on their investment into Everpress

Charles Russell Speechlys has advised long-standing client Puma Private Equity on its £3 million investment into Everpress Limited, a fast-growing e-commerce retailer that connects independent fashion designers and consumers.

Everpress is a global fashion marketplace that enables fashion designers to upload their clothing designs, create marketing campaigns and sell directly to a global audience of consumers. Focused on sustainable and ethical fashion, Everpress is very well placed to capitalise on the market trends of the growth in online shopping and increasing consumer awareness of ethical fashion.

Puma Private Equity is the private equity division of Puma Investments, which offers a wide range of award-winning investments across private equity, property and quoted equities that help to support investors, growing SMEs and professional property developers throughout the UK.

Commenting on the deal, Ben Leslie, Investment Manager at Puma Private Equity, said: “It was great to work with David and the CRS team and the strong leadership team at Everpress to close this deal. Everpress is excellently positioned to grow its platform and we look forward to supporting the company’s development.”

David Coates commented: “We thoroughly enjoyed working with Ben and the team at Puma on this deal. Technology and retail are key strengths for our firm and the Everpress business model fits firmly within these areas. We look forward to working with Puma again on future transactions.”

The team was led by Corporate Partner David Coates and Senior Associate Ashwin Pillay, supported by Associate Ayman Shehata. The team also included Andy Williams, Briony Richards and Harriet Lucas (Employment), Megan Paul and Olivia Crane (Commercial), Lynsey Inglis (Property) and Rob Birchall and Anna Reynolds (Tax).
