Charles Russell Speechlys advises Content+Cloud on the acquisition of Sol-Tec Ltd
Charles Russell Speechlys has advised long standing client, the technology and solutions provider, Content+Cloud, on the acquisition of Sol-Tec Ltd, one of Microsoft’s largest Azure partners in the UK. This transaction is the latest in a series of acquisitions on which the team has advised as part of Content+Cloud’s “buy and build” strategy.
Sol-Tec has enabled public sector giants including the Department of Work and Pensions, HMRC and Department for Education, and other leading public and private sector organisations to confidently and cost effectively utilise Azure services.
Following its recent acquisitions of SMB specialist, Mirus in 2019 and leading Microsoft Office365 and SharePoint partner, Content and Code in September 2018, the turnover for the combined Content+Cloud group is heading towards £85m, with strong organic growth continuing. Achieving yet another milestone on its way to becoming the most awarded and capable Microsoft partner in the UK, Content+Cloud is one of the very few partners able to provide services to its clients across all three elements of Microsoft’s Cloud, Office 365 and Modern Workplace; Azure and Dynamics 365.
Peter Sweetbaum, CEO of Content+Cloud commented: “We are excited about this new acquisition as we will have within the Content+Cloud group one of the UK’s leading Azure migration specialists, which will enable us to offer our clients expertise and a wide breadth of services across all three core elements of the Microsoft Cloud. We were once again very pleased and impressed with the complex legal advice and comprehensive transaction support we received from the highly capable Charles Russell Speechlys team, led by Mark Howard, who helped enable this exceptional business to become part of the Content+Cloud group.”
Mark Howard, Corporate Partner and Joint Head of TMT at Charles Russell Speechlys, commented: “We’ve been working with Content+Cloud since 2014 and we are delighted to see them further strengthen their position in the market as one of the UK’s leading technology services and solutions providers. We feel like we are part of the team and it’s exciting to see them deliver another milestone in their journey.”
The Charles Russell Speechlys team was led by Mark Howard, and included Tom Smitham, Ashwin Pillay, Dana Marshad, Ed Garton and Antony Vundi (Corporate), Jon Bond, Susan Mitchell, Fraser Brown (Banking), Robert Birchall, Elliot Michaelson and Anna Reynolds (Tax), Mark Bailey, Chris Ingram and Olivia Crane (Commercial/Intellectual Property), Mark White (Real Estate), Esther White, Andy Williams and Amelia Goodwin (Employment, Pension and Immigration).
