Joe Cohen comments on the Generative AI rollout at our Firm in an interview with Artificial Lawyer

Ahead of the upcoming Legal Innovators UK event, scheduled for 6th and 7th November 2024 in London, Joe Cohen, Director of Advanced Client Solutions, is interviewed by Richard Tromans, Founder of Artificial Lawyer, to discuss his involvement in the conference and the work that his team is undertaking in our Firm more broadly.

Development of Legal Products

Joe reveals that our Firm is developing two legal-specific products that leverage generative AI to provide novel services to clients. These products are tailored to niche legal needs and are expected to launch in the middle of the following year.

Generative AI Usage in the Firm

Joe also covered the launch of a new tool in our Firm called 'Sidekick', in collaboration with Springbok AI, which has achieved over 50% monthly active usage across the business. The AI tool is being used for various use cases, and they are working on having the AI self-categorize chats to better understand usage patterns without compromising individual privacy. Joe notes that while some firms are experiencing disillusionment with generative AI, we are seeing success and high user engagement. He discusses the importance of understanding how to use the technology effectively and the Firm's efforts in training and developing use case-specific bots.

Other themes

Joe and Richard then go on to discuss other themes, such as the future of generative AI in legal practice, the integration of generative with other legal technology products and platforms within our Firm, and general expectations for what to expect at the Legal Innovators conference.
